Remembering the view from Mpalanganga over the wide plains and being thankful for your teaching and helping me to get prepared well for surgery in Sierra Leone. I will keep in mind especially the two themes: „critizism combined with appreciation“ and the beautiful „charming pressure“ when things don’t seem to work at all. Thinking – does the white man’s work in third world countries make sense at all, I feel, that your way of teaching the staff at Zomba Hospital (Malawi) to be independent and well educated really makes sense. So, thanks, and blessings to your and Ardine’s futher journey….
